We're so glad to be providing resume review services for you.
Here’s what you need to know about working with us, and how to get the most out of your experience.
- Organize your documents and follow our checklist (download by clicking the green button below). It can take a few hours to get everything together, so budget some time to gather everything. Do not worry about your resume/CV looking out of date; this is what we are here to work on together.
- Send all your documents to Mbarham@mkbstrategic.com at least 1 business day before your session to allow time to review the documents.
- Ensure you have your session date and time entered into your calendar. Our system will send you a calendar invite, meeting link, email reminders, and text reminders if you opt in. Arrive at least 5 minutes early for your meeting to ensure your tech works. We will be meeting via Zoom.
- Set aside time in your schedule to review the documents after our first session.

What to expect when we meet
Your coach will arrive on time, and having reviewed your documents. We will upload them to a secure server location where we can work on them together. Your coach will also take notes and send these and the links to your documents after the meeting. We focus our efforts on supporting you in finding the format and words to present yourself in a way that makes sense for the role you are applying for, and we teach you how to do this so that next time you will be ready.
We will also review your LinkedIn if desired, and provide advice on how to use LinkedIn efficiently and present yourself on the platform.
In our second session, we can either do a final revision of your resume, or we can prepare for an interview.
Cancellations and Refunds
Scheduling & Time Zone
All session times are confirmed by our booking system and will take place virtually via Zoom.
Rescheduling Window
You may reschedule a session once with at least 48 hours notice. Reschedule requests received inside 48 hours are treated as late cancellations (see below).
Cancellations & Fees

≥ 48 hours notice: Cancel and rebook. You may choose a refund minus any payment processing fees or apply the full amount to a new date.

< 48 hours notice: 50% of the session fee is charged (or 50% of the package’s per-session value).

No-show / arrival ≥15 minutes late: Treated as a late cancellation and charged at 100% of the session fee.
Package Validity
Both sessions must be completed within 120 days of purchase unless otherwise agreed via email. Unused sessions after this window are forfeited and non-refundable.
Technology Issues
If a session is disrupted by platform or connectivity issues on either side, we’ll first attempt to continue by phone or alternate link. If more than 15 minutes are lost, we will reschedule the remaining time at no additional cost.
Coach-Initiated Changes
If the coach must reschedule, you may (a) accept a new date or (b) receive a refund for the affected session. If the coach cancels the entire package, you will receive a pro-rated refund for any unused sessions.
Emergency Exception
We recognize true emergencies (e.g., sudden illness, family emergency). Please notify us as soon as possible; one emergency waiver of late fees may be granted at our discretion per package.
How to Notify
Send all changes by email to mbarham@mkbstrategic.com with the subject line “Coaching—Change Request”. Your request is effective when we confirm receipt.
Refunds & Transfers
Refunds (when applicable) are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days. Packages are transferable once with written consent].
Scope
This policy applies to scheduled coaching time only; it does not affect any separate consulting agreements.
